Acceptable use policy
Last updated 13 September 2026. This is a working draft written to be readable; it will be reviewed by counsel before general availability. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will fix the wording rather than explain it away.
The short version
Use OnHandIMS to run your business. Do not use it to harm anyone else's.
Do not
- Break the law, or help someone else break it.
- Store personal data you do not have the right to hold, or send marketing through the portal to people who have not agreed to receive it.
- Attempt to access another customer's data, probe for isolation failures outside a disclosure we have agreed to, or interfere with the service for other customers.
- Resell the service, or share one login among people who should have their own.
- Upload malware, or use the document store to distribute unlawful material.
- Run automated load against the API beyond what the product needs — if you want to integrate, talk to us and we will help.
Security research
We welcome it. Email security@onhandims.com before you start, use your own trial tenant, do not touch other customers' data, and give us a reasonable window to fix what you find. We will not pursue anyone who works that way, and we will credit you if you would like us to.
Enforcement
Most problems are a misunderstanding and an email fixes them. Where something is causing active harm we may suspend an account immediately and explain afterwards. Suspension does not remove your right to export your data.
